Takashi Cheng

Based in Pasadena, California, Takashi Cheng is founder and CEO of GoldenTV. Since launching GoldenTV in 2022, he has collaborated with many Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) creators to champion original content on the streaming platform. Takashi Cheng received the Asian Business Association Media Visionary of the Year Award in recognition of his work.

Mr. Cheng has produced several television shows, including Space Command. He serves as executive producer on the upcoming short films Night Run and Webcam. In 2019, he co-founded an AAPI-focused club named Society 1. As a board member, he oversees asset acquisition and event management to boost the club’s support of the AAPI community.

Mr. Cheng earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA. He later earned his JD degree. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Cheng is a member of various philanthropic organizations, such as the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Actively supporting those in need, he is on the board of directors of Project Angel Food and Children Mending Hearts.
